Baxter Craven is a graduate of the University of Virginia where he studied architectural history and historic preservation. His master's thesis documented Sweet Springs, one of West Virginia's most important endangered properties, 3D scanning the former resort complex to record it for posterity with measurable data. He also holds a bachelor's degree in Art History from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte which has nurtured his lifelong passion for cultural heritage.
